Jiangsu Co-creating Artificial Turf for FIFA Standard Date: 2015-04-27 09:17

The enterprise is to develop a batch of wolf enterprises to expand, there must be such a talent reserve ---- Ren Zhengfei

It is understood that Jiangsu Co-creation is a wolf-rich company: from the corporate leadership to all employees, they are full of wolf's fighting will, indomitable spirit, indefensible offensive spirit, and keen sense of the market, the collective struggle of happiness A sense of accomplishment and a sense of accomplishment, and of course, the clean and tidy factory water and neatly arranged materials and equipment, show the company's rigorous spirit with German manufacturing.

In 2013, Jiangsu Co-created one of the 9 FIFAs in the world, one of the 30 companies in the world that received FIFA venue certification, and China’s first company to obtain FIFA two-star venue certification; it accounted for 13% of the global market share, and its market share in China reached 45 %, Globally laid 80 million square meters, products in more than 80 countries and regions.

In addition, since 2010, the company has invested a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan to build an artificial turf production industrial park with a total construction area of more than 400,000 square meters. As a privately-run enterprise that has developed and grown up locally, Jiangsu Province has created an expectation for the industry's capacity. And the confidence in the market is evident.

In the artificial turf industry, Jiangsu has been leading the way.

International quality certification

Passing the FIFA technical standard certification is the best endorsement of Jiangsu's joint creation of product quality.

People familiar with the industry told reporters that when FIFA sought out artificial turf suppliers globally, it chose Jiangsu to create a joint venture with its product quality and product characteristics. The grasslands created by Jiangsu Co-creation are dense and have a thick sense of foot. The kicks on the top are like natural grass, which meets FIFA's requirements for training venues.

FIFA's door is not open to Chinese companies in the beginning. Guo Chao, an expert who has been responsible for the construction of stadium facilities for the China Sporting Goods Industry Federation and has observed the sports materials industry for nearly 10 years, once told the media that in order to obtain FIFA venue certification, the laboratory testing and site testing of the lawn must be conducted through its authorized testing organization. In each stage, the product must pass through more than 100 items of testing including sports performance, UV resistance, and abrasion resistance. In this process, the most professional team of engineers must be sent to continuously learn and understand the international standards of FIFA, and apply it to the company's self-inspection before it can be passed.

Jiangsu Co-Creation does not have any shortcuts to FIFA. Continuous improvement of product quality is the only solution. Since 2004, the two-year co-creation that just entered the artificial grass industry began to send products to FIFA's corresponding laboratories for testing. In the continuous improvement and transformation of products such as shock absorption, vertical ball rebound, friction coefficient, and rotation resistance, the quality of co-creating artificial grass has also increased.

In October 2007, the Slovak MFK football club site where artificial turf was laid up passed the FIFA venue testing certification. This is also the first football field to have passed the international certification. Reaching the FIFA standard means creating a global-wide clearance card for the creation of artificial grass. After this, starting from 2010, after four applications in three years, Jiangsu Gongchuang became the FIFA global preferred supplier in 2013. Many clubs including Premier League giants Chelsea are all users created by Jiangsu.

In fact, the pursuit of international quality was imprinted in Jiangsu's co-branded genes. As early as in 2002 when the first artificial grass production line was introduced from abroad, the co-creation was oriented to the world. It is understood that the total cost of applying for FIFA is as high as 3 million yuan. Although the cost is high and the testing is strict, in order to be in line with international standards, a high-end brand image is created globally to create continuous investment and eventually gain recognition.

It is not easy for companies far away in Huai'an to obtain the value recognition of FIFA and the finicky European mainstream football world. Guo Chao once commented on Jiangsu's co-creation. This also shows from the side that upgrading product quality is a stepping stone for sporting goods companies to seek development.

The domestic market is optimistic

The state’s policy of promoting the development of the sports industry has given more confidence to sporting goods companies. From the inside perspective of the industry, sports venues are the areas that benefit the most, and are directly driven by favorable policies. The benefits of artificial turf are the most direct. According to Cui Wei’s prediction, in the artificial turf industry, 2015 and 2016 are critical in terms of the domestic market; in terms of the global market, Chinese companies will surpass foreign companies in the fields of production, R&D, manufacturing, and sales.
